In this session, we will showcase and discuss how volunteers, developers, and researchers have found fun and creative ways to visualize and gamify Wikimedia content. We'll look at immersive data visualizations like Listen to Wikipedia and WikiGalaxy, location-based tools like Wiki-Atlas and WikiShootMe!, and games such as Wikiracing, WikiAsteroids, Wikitrivia, and The Distributed Game (just to list a few examples!). Each project offers possibilities for learning, exploration, and participation in the Wikimedia movement.

This session will include demos and how each visualization or game can be useful. We will discuss the broader potential of gamification and data visualizations to increase engagement, provide new ways to outreach to the public, and foster novel research and educational opportunities.
