Since 2020, in the midst of the Pandemic, Apulian Wikimedians have been carrying on projects with students from schools and university, also thanks with a great collaboration with the University of Bari. We have reached a total of 13 educational projects, which involved a wide range of Wikimedia projects (Wikipedia, Wikivoyage, Wikiversity, Wikibooks, Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata) and even OpenStreetMap (in combination with Wikivoyage). The topics have been varied as well: the main focus has been the local area, as increasing knowledge available on Wikimedia projects about it is beneficial for the entire community. As we have gained a bit experience, me and Maristella Gatto, professor at the University of Bari, would like to present a showcase of the most significant projects, their impact and, foremost, the challenges we have faced and the challenges we were not able to face. I hope presenting our strategies and approach may help stimulate the discussion about what we could do better in the education field. A part of the time will be reserved to discussion and feedback.
