This session will provide an overview of The Wikipedia Library, how partnerships work for the project, opportunities to collaborate and some case studies on recent partnerships.
The Wikipedia Library provides Wikimedians access to paywalled research material for free, that they can use for their research and citations on Wikimedia projects. The library currently has over 100 content collections from partners across the world, in more than 30 languages. This will be collaborative session between WMF and a community member, where we will be providing an overview of how The Wikipedia Library works, how partnerships work for the project and opportunities for the community to collaborate. We will be sharing some case studies about partnerships for non-English languages as well. The objectives of the session are to provide Wikimedians with up to date information on how they can use The Wikipedia Library for their contributions to Wikimedia projects and give them clarity on how they can collaborate with the project.
