As Wikipedia will turn 25, and the ESEAP community is growing as well! Also reaching new milestones include creating a. A regional hub has been established, and a system of Community Connectors developed. This is built upon past collaborations in the region. We are strengthening , strengthening existing connections while creating , and creating a firm basis for new partnerships and new communities!

Wikimedians in the ESEAP region come from disparate backgrounds, speaking few shared languages and often separated by seas and oceans. Despite this, we have found ways to collaborate across such divides, seeking to create free and accessible knowledge that preserves this diversity and shares it with the world.

To this end, this conference represents a call for the wider community to join in this movement. We want you to bring your experiences, insight, and ideas, and innovations. Together, we can pioneer the next 25 years, and beyond.
