<p>Wikipedia projects are reasonably good at documenting the medical aspects of HIV and AIDS, but we do a much poorer job at documenting the social history — especially that of the Early AIDS Crisis — in the Global North as well as in Global Majority countries. Our articles about HIV and the AIDS pandemic are almost universally out of date and a large number of important individuals are absent from Wikipedia.</p><p>This session proposes a conversation between a handful of wikimedians interested in the HIV/AIDS Crisis from different geographic and linguistic communities to discuss how we can improve Wikimedia projects' coverage of this global pandemic we are still living through.</p>
