**How can Wikimedia projects become more than repositories of knowledge? Can they also inspire playful, engaging ways of discovering marginalized histories?** **FrancAutrices is a collaborative initiative led by Wiki in Africa and Les sans pagEs that takes an unusual approach to reducing representation gaps and builds on editorial initiatives (in particular the SheSaid campaign and La Quinzaine des Autrices). The project's primary goal is the creation of an educational card game celebrating francophone women writers. Wikiquote content supports the game's content. The game was created in 2026 and revealed during Wikimania Paris.** **This presentation will explore how designing a game transforms the way contributors think about knowledge production. It encourages collaboration across countries, languages or institutions, creates new incentives for documenting overlooked authors, and produces open knowledge (on Wikiquote) alongside an engaging educational resource (the cultural object, aka “the game”)** **Although FrancAutrices focuses on women writers, the methodology is relevant for queer knowledge. By examining our model, participants might consider how similar approaches could be adapted to create differents card sets or different games.** **This session proposes a different way of imagining Wikimedia's role: as the foundation for creative cultural experiences that extend beyond the screen while enriching the commons.**
