Since 2024, Wiki Queer Camps have been organized in Massy at a local, feminist and queer-friendly library, by Léna with support from les sans pagEs. In this presentation, we’d like to give you some elements about why these events are attracting a growing number of participants (from 8 people in 2024 to 11 in 2026), and how we are, through this events, caring for the local community in several aspects: * being a safe space for queer contributors to discuss any topic, * providing a timeframe to discuss Wikimedian aspects: how should this article be organised? should we split this one? which language is to be used for this specific case? * helping contributors get access to quality sources: as part of the day, any contributor can choose and get one book from the library (no specific guidelines, but they’re often sources on feminists or queer topics), * imagining together our next Wikimedian events, * supporting our local library and small businesses: by buying them beverages, food, and books! (last event even featured a wild Baby Globe!)
