Wiki Education’s 250 by 2026 initiative has engaged small GLAM organizations across the United States in partnership with AASLH (American Association for State and Local History). So far we’ve trained GLAM professionals and historians from 49 states and piloted a new Wikimedia Commons course. Our outreach has allowed us to provide small GLAMs with the resources they need to learn how to engage with Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons for the benefit of their institutions and local community. This presentation will share takeaways from the 250 by 2026 initiative, introduce our plans for retention, and outline how we will continue this model in our upcoming Documenting America initiative. We look forward to sharing our model and learnings with the wider GLAM-Wiki community, soliciting feedback, and providing our own insights about the future of this model within our community. <br>
