The Wikivoyage project is known as the traveller's guide and used to document sightseeing locations, activities, cuisine and accommodation around the world. However, unlike Wikipedia or Wikidata, which have garnered lots of contributions and active editors for language and cultural identity preservation, most people hardly know about the project and do not know that, just like the Wikipedia project, it can be used to document indigenous languages and cultures as well. This session will focus on how to leverage the Wikivoyage project in preserving indigenous languages and culture by populating and updating various Wikivoyage articles with local cuisine names, local cuisine eateries with local names, markets written in their indigenous names without anglicisation, and sightseeing and tourist spots written in their indigenous names as well as contributing local parlances on the WikiVoyage PhraseBook This way, those indigenous terms have a digital footprint in an open-licensed space and are also preserved
