UI language
Most Wikipedia editors know how to create and edit articles. Few know about the powerful set of tools sitting quietly behind every wiki. Special pages are automatically generated pages that give editors access to maintenance reports, statistics, user tools, and content discovery features. They exist on every Wikipedia, in every language. Yet the majority of editors never use them. This presentation takes participants on a guided tour of Wikipedia's Special pages. It covers maintenance pages like wanted pages, orphaned articles, and dead-end pages. It explores statistics and reports that reveal how a wiki is growing. It introduces user tools like watchlists, contributions, and preferences. It also highlights content discovery features like new pages and recent changes. Real examples from small and underrepresented language Wikipedias will be used throughout. The goal is simple: to help existing editors see the full engine behind their wiki, not just the dashboard. <br>
