When a traveller arrives in your village, town, or city and wants to greet someone in the indigenous language, where do they turn? For most of the world's minority languages, there is no accessible, open, and structured phrasebook available online. Wikivoyage's phrasebook feature offers a practical and often overlooked solution, a free, open-licensed, community-maintained space where any language community can document their language's most essential phrases and make them discoverable to the world. This workshop introduces participants to Wikivoyage phrasebooks as a tool for minority language documentation and visibility. Using existing Dagbani phrasebook contributions as a live reference, alongside examples from other African languages, participants will learn how to create or expand a phrasebook for a destination article on Wikivoyage covering structure, phonetic transcription, phrase selection, and community sustainability. By the end of the session, every participant will have taken at least one concrete step toward a phrasebook for their own language. <br>
