Italian and Persian language Wikipedia communities organized [a collaboration in 2025](https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Iran-Italy_Wiki_Collaboration), it was a one month writing contest editathon in which we would write new articles in Italian about Iran, and new articles in Persian about Italy, with books as prizes for the top editors. This collaboration was a great success, so the Italian community replicated it this year [with the Russian community](https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Italy-Russia_Wiki_Collaboration). The format was the same, so the object of the new articles were again out respective countries. This kind of bilateral collaborations could be easily replicated by other communities, especially ones with an established chapter or usergroup, but even in it's absence (both Iran and Russia have severe issues about this). We want to share what worked and what didn't, and help Wikimedia communities to open themselves to the rest of our global movement.
