How can educators meaningfully integrate Wikimedia into their teaching while ensuring participation, inclusion, and quality? This interactive workshop guides participants through the practical steps of designing a Wikimedia-based education activity. There will be no lecture. Participants will work in small groups to move from idea to structured plan. The session begins with participants identifying their teaching contexts and key challenges. Through progressive design challenges, they will define why Wikimedia is relevant in their setting, outline a concrete learning activity, and adapt it to real-world constraints such as multilingual classrooms, limited connectivity, or first-time editors. Participants will leave with a draft plan that can be implemented in their own institutions or communities. Facilitators will also introduce practical support structures such as mentorship, peer learning workshops, OER documentation practices, and knowledge-sharing platforms that can strengthen education initiatives globally. This workshop is collaborative, adaptable across regions, and suitable for educators, librarians, youth organizers, and Wikimedia program leaders.
