This workshop aims to test the new features of the Paulina tool for creating and editing Wikidata items about authors and works. Paulina (paulina.toolforge.org) is a multilingual, Wikidata-based tool hosted on Toolforge that facilitates the discovery of authors and works, helps determine if they are in the public domain, and provides access when works are available on Wikimedia Commons, Wikisource, or other platforms. The new editing features can facilitate engagement with Wikidata by people from the GLAM community and can be used in various Wikidata editing activities and campaigns focused on cultural heritage. Paulina won the 2025 Wikimedia Coolest Tool Award for the most innovative tool. During the session, a brief explanation of how Paulina works will be given, followed by a detailed presentation of the new features. Participants will test the features, and a final discussion will be held to gather feedback for improving the tool.
