WikiMeet Mérida 2026 represents the first edition of this national event that will gather Wikimedians and other stakeholders involved in Wikimedia projects and the movement as a whole throughout Venezuela. The event will take place in Mérida, Venezuela, from June 26 to 28, 2026.

The motto for this edition is "Create. Include. Connect." Our purpose is to generate new spaces for the community, incorporate new participants, and connect them with the Wikimedia movement in its entirety. In a context characterized by the country's situation, accelerated technological changes, and constantly evolving social environments, this motto invites the community to transcend the traditional boundaries of a digital encyclopedia. Revaluing the commons implies conceiving our movement as a dynamic, resilient, inclusive ecosystem with a forward-looking vision.
